Windber Area School District continues to prioritize the emotional health and wellness of its students in multiple ways. One of those includes partnering with the R.E.A.C.H. Counseling program since the 2018 - 2019 School Year.

 

R.E.A.C.H stands for "Reaching Educational Achievements With Clinical Mental Health." 

 

R.E.A.C.H. is a non-profit, clinical mental health counseling agency serving school districts in Somerset and Cambria Counties. 

 

R.E.A.C.H. provides Clinical Mental Health Counseling services in school to students in Elementary, Middle, and High School. Individual professional counseling, small group counseling, and crisis assessment/interventions are some of the main components offered.

 

Services are offered year-round and held during or after the school day and allow for Parent/Guardian involvement in the process. R.E.A.C.H. can work with your child's support system in school and in the community to create an integrative team approach.

 

WASD has provided the opportunity for all students to have access to these services at no cost to the families, with Parent/Guardian consent.
