AMERICORP SERVICE MEMBERS

 

The Windber Area School District is accepting applications for the following positions for the 2021-2022 school year 

                                   

Three (3) 1200 hour AmeriCorps Service Members to provide instructional practice/tutoring in reading, 

mathematics and other subjects and complete tasks at the direction of supervising teachers.

 

˗     Successful candidates will receive a bi-weekly living stipend, AmeriCorps benefits, and education awards upon completion of the position.

˗     Qualifications include: Must be a U.S. citizen, high school diploma or equivalent

Associates degree or post-secondary training preferred.

FACILITIES DIRECTOR

Windber Area School District is seeking candidates for the position of Facilities Director.

This is a Full-Time, 12 month, Act 93 position with full-benefits and a starting salary of not to exceed $50,000/year based on experience. 

 

The Facilities Coordinator shall supervise and coordinate the district operation and maintenance program of the school district. A full job description can be found on our website at WASD Facilities Director  Applicants must have a valid PA Driver’s License and be able to provide all required clearances upon request.  At least five (5) years of building maintenance experience is required.

 LETTER OF INTEREST AND RESUMES FOR THIS POSITION WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL THE POSITION IS FILLED.  At this time our timeline to conduct  interviews has not been determined, but will notify candidates when we move forward with the hiring process.

ALL EMPLOYEES OF THE WINDBER AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING UP TO DATE CLEARANCES BEFORE WORKING WITH OUR STUDENTS. CLEARANCES MUST BE UPDATED EVERY FIVE YEARS ONCE EMPLOYED BY OUR DISTRICT.  ALL COACHES AND VOLUNTEERS MUST ALSO OBTAIN CLEARANCES AND UPDATE THEM EVERY FIVE YEARS.

FBI Fingerprints (Act 114)

School Health Record - includes physical & TB test from within a year

Act 24 (PDE Form 6004) - Arrest/Conviction Report (This form is provided in the employment packet)

PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release- A separate form must be completed for:
1. Current employer; and
2. All former employers that were school entities; and
3. All former employers where you were in a position that involved direct contact with children.
