K'Nex STEM Design Challenge
Each year, students in grades 6-8 work in teams of four to complete a STEM Design Challenge with a K'Nex STEM Design Challenge set. At the competition, teams are asked to explain their design during a 2-minute presentation, which includes a pre-made blueprint and a journal that documents their design from start to finish. Teams will prepare for this competition during enrichment and remediation times at the end of the school day up until the competition in March.
Teams in the 2018-2019 school year will complete in two divisions: Grades 4-5 and Grades 6-8. The 1st place team in each division will be eligible to participate at the state competition.
