PA Junior Academy of Science (PJAS)
The Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) is a statewide organization of middle school and senior high school students designed to stimulate and promote interest in science among its members through the development of research projects and investigations. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is divided into 12 PJAS regions.
At the regional competition, students conduct an experiment and then share that experiment through a formal presentation.
Students who receive first place in their topic advance to the state competition. This is a two-day event where they compete against all students who first-place winners from across Pennsylvania.
