Emma Brown - Middle School Guidance Counselor
Emma Brown grew up in rural Nebraska. She has an undergraduate degree in agricultural journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (Go Big Red!) and a masters in school counseling from Emporia State. Prior to arriving at Windber, she completed her school counseling internship at the Hollidaysburg Area School District.
Mrs. Brown and her husband recently moved to Pennsylvania for his job in dairy feed sales. They've been enjoying trying out all the iconic PA food traditions, from Pennsylvania peaches to Galliker’s chocolate milk. Outside of school, Mrs. Brown enjoys workout classes, audiobooks, farmers markets and traveling.
Mrs. Brown is excited to be a Rambler and is looking forward to the 2019-2020 school year ahead of us!
Shannon Lee - K/4
Ms. Lee is so excited to be teaching at Windber Elementary this school year.She attended Richland High School and graduated college from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown where she studied Early Childhood Education.
Cheryl Steinbeck - Elementary Special Education
Mrs. Steinbeck has a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Clarion University and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from St. Francis University. She has been married to Jim for 22 years and has 4 beautiful children. Abby is a sophomore at Westminster College. Jacob is a senior, Anna is a freshman, and Ben is in sixth grade at Windber.
Mrs. Steinbeck loves soccer and is happy to be a coach for the Girls Varsity Soccer team. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family. She considers it a privilege to be a part of the Windber Area community and school district. is looking forward to a wonderful school year.
