The game started off with Ferndale receiving, and the Yellow Jackets quickly scored on a 93-yard touchdown in the first seconds of the game, but by the end of the first quarter, sophomore Dylan Tomlinson and freshman John Shuster scored two more touchdowns, making the score 13-7.
In the second quarter, sophomore quarterback Aiden Gray passed to senior Evan Custer for the next touchdown. Dylan Napora, a senior, and Dylan Tomlinson also scored touchdowns in the second quarter, making the score at the end of the first half 34-7 Windber.
When the game resumed, Shuster scored another six points for the Ramblers. Custer also had an excellent interception in the third quarter.
During the fourth quarter, freshman Ethan Brady scored Windber six more points. Around the two minute mark, Ferndale scored another touchdown, but they were unable to turn the game around. The Windber Ramblers won by a score of 48-14.
When asked for comment, freshman Ethan Brady said he was proud of how well the team worked together to win the game, and he was enjoying the team’s victory.
The Windber Ramblers face the Portage Mustangs next week at Portage’s field. Kickoff is at 7 pm, so come out to show your support for the Windber Ramblers Football Team.
