Upcoming Safety Drills in January

Dear Families,

I hope this email finds you well. As we look forward to the new year, the safety and well-being of our students remain our top priority. In an effort to maintain a secure and prepared learning environment, we would like to inform you about a series of safety drills that will be conducted in the month of January.

Throughout the month, we will be implementing various safety drills, including lockdown drills, to ensure that our students and staff are well-prepared in case of emergencies. These drills are an essential part of our commitment to creating a safe and secure school environment.

To provide our students with a clear understanding of the procedures and importance of these drills, we will be holding assemblies to discuss the various types of lockdown drills and the steps we take to ensure everyone's safety. These assemblies will be tailored to the appropriate age groups to ensure that the information is age-appropriate and easily understandable.

Following the assemblies, we will conduct the safety drills to practice the procedures we have discussed. These drills are a proactive measure to enhance the preparedness of our students and staff in case of any unforeseen circumstances. Please rest assured that these drills will be conducted with the utmost sensitivity and care, with the primary goal of creating a safe and secure learning environment for everyone.

We understand that discussions about safety can be sensitive, especially with our young learners, and we encourage you to have conversations with your children at home to address any questions or concerns they may have. Our staff will also be available to provide additional support and reassurance to students as needed.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work together to prioritize the safety of our school community. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s school.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Mr. Michael J. Vuckovich

Superintendent of Schools
