Dear Windber Families,
As we begin another school year, we want to take a moment to remind everyone about the importance of school safety and the resources available to help keep our students, staff, and community safe.
One of those tools is the Safe2Say Something anonymous reporting system. This tool allows students, families, and community members to confidentially report any concerns related to safety, including potential threats, suspicious behavior, or other situations that could impact the well-being of our school community.
- Safe2Say website: https://www.safe2saypa.org/
Families are always welcome to call the school directly during regular school hours to report concerns. If it is after hours, we ask that you contact the Windber Borough Police Department and use the Safe2Say app or website to submit an anonymous report. If it is an emergency, call 911.
Open communication is critical to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our students. By working together and reporting concerns promptly, we can respond quickly and appropriately to ensure everyone’s safety.
Please note, there are no current threats or safety issues at this time. This message is simply part of our back-to-school communications and a reminder of the importance of working together to keep our schools and community safe.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in making safety a priority. Together, we can help ensure that Windber remains a safe, secure, and welcoming place for all students.
Sincerely,
Dr. Michael J. Vuckovich
Superintendent
Windber Area School District
