Parent-Teacher Conferences Set for November 24 and 25

Windber Area School District invites families to participate in parent-teacher conferences on Tuesday, November 24, and during the morning of Wednesday, November 25, 2026.

These meetings are an opportunity to celebrate your child’s progress, discuss concerns, and develop a shared plan for continued success. We encourage families to schedule a conference whether their child is doing well, experiencing challenges, or could benefit from additional support.

A conversation with a purpose

A parent-teacher conference brings together two important perspectives: what educators see at school and what families see at home. Together, we can discuss academic progress, attendance, classroom participation, friendships, work habits, and your child’s well-being.

Our goal is for families to leave with a clear understanding of their child’s strengths, areas for growth, and practical next steps that school and home can support together.

Your perspective matters

Families know their children in ways that help us teach and support them more effectively. We want to hear about your child’s interests, what motivates them, concerns they share at home, and anything that may be affecting their school experience.

A strong partnership also includes regular communication, consistent attendance, encouragement, and routines that support learning. Families do not need to have every answer. Your involvement and willingness to work with us make a difference.

Support is available

Windber offers a variety of student supports, including academic interventions, school counseling, and connections to school and community resources. A conference can help us identify which supports may be appropriate and how to coordinate them around your child’s needs.

Please bring your questions. Consider asking:

  • What is my child doing well?

  • Where does my child need additional support or challenge?

  • What can we practice or reinforce at home?

  • What support is available, and how will we know it is helping?

Schedule your conference
