Cross Country Competes at Districts; Two Ramblers Qualify for State Meet

The Boys’ Tyler Napora and Matthew Shank finished 3rd and 5th place overall with times of 18:11 and 18:19. With these placements, they qualified to go to states in Hershey which will be held on November 3rd.
After being asked about how he feels on qualifying for states as a senior and for the second year in a row, Tyler Napora responded with, “It’s been an honor making it to states two years in a row. It has been such a great experience running cross country the last two years and it’s been even better because I have been able to run at states with my team both years.”
Finishing 21st and 23rd were Riley Page and Ben McKinley with final times of 20:54 and 21:09, and they were both able to set new personal records this season.
Finishing with times of 21:58 and 25:40 were Zachary Choby and Logan Butler, who both were able to beat their personal records as well. The Boys placed 3rd out of 6 schools.
The Girls’ Emma York and her sister, Adelynn York, finished 17th and 18th place both with times of 26:12. Placing 22nd and 24th with times of 26:59 and 27:18 were Samantha DelGrande and Olivia Chappie.
Olivia Chappie was one of the two girls who got a personal record this race. The other personal record was set by freshman Sally Moore with a 28:21 placing 33rd and Julia Browning placed 35th with a 29:10 time.
When Emma York was asked about her senior year experience she responded with, “My senior experience was amazing and unforgettable. I’m so glad I got to spend this season with such amazing teammates by my side.”
