The Ramblers started off the first half well when junior forward Caroline McClain scored at the 17 minute mark to make the score 1-0 Ramblers. The Ramblers played very good defense throughout the rest of the first half, with many excellent saves by Windber’s senior keeper Marideth Tokarsky.
The Ramblers struck early in the second half as well, with junior Nikki Kaiser scoring with 29:44 left in the 2nd, to make the score 2-0. The Indians weren't going down without a fight, though, when Conemaugh Township’s Olivia Roman scored with 25:50 left in the game. However, the Ramblers weren’t done. Senior Makaela Cominsky ended the scoring with her goal at 14:31, to make the final score 3-1.
“I think we moved the ball really well tonight,” commented junior Caroline McClain. “To improve, I think I just need to focus on making better goals and other small mistakes.”
The Lady Ramblers improved their record to 15-5, and will move onto the District 5 championship on Wednesday, October 31st, at Golden Eagle Stadium in Somerset.
