Request Form
Effective July 1st, 2023, coaches are kindly requested to refrain from directly requesting funds from the Windber Lettermen's Club. Instead, we have implemented a new process to streamline and prioritize funding requests. Coaches who require financial support for their respective teams are now required to follow the guidelines outlined below:
- Funding Request Form: Coaches should complete a Funding Request Form. The form will require essential details regarding the funding request, including the purpose, amount needed, and supporting documentation, such as cost estimates or quotes.
- Consultation with Athletic Director: Once the Funding Request Form is completed, coaches should schedule a consultation with the Athletic Director to discuss their funding needs. During this meeting, coaches can provide additional context or answer any questions the Athletic Director may have regarding the request.
- Review and Evaluation: The Athletic Director will review each funding request, considering factors such as team needs, program priorities, and available funds. The Athletic Director may also consult with the coaching staff and other relevant stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of the request's merits.
- Presentation to the Lettermen's Club: Based on the needs and priorities identified by the Athletic Director, a selection of funding requests will be presented to the Windber Lettermen's Club for consideration. The Athletic Director will advocate for deserving requests that align with the objectives and mission of the Lettermen's Club.
- Lettermen's Club Decision: The Windber Lettermen's Club will evaluate the presented funding requests and make decisions based on available resources and the overall impact on the athletic program. The Lettermen's Club may give priority to requests that benefit multiple teams, support critical infrastructure needs, or enhance the overall athletic experience for student-athletes.
- Communication of Decision: The Athletic Director will communicate the decision made by the Windber Lettermen's Club to the respective coaches. Approved funding requests will receive guidance on the next steps, including the disbursement process and any additional requirements, if applicable.
Please note that this revised process has been implemented to ensure a fair and efficient allocation of funds while aligning with the mission and objectives of the Windber Lettermen's Club.
