ELEMENTARY VISITORS/VOLUNTEER CLEARANCES

Dear Parents,

    In order for you to be able to volunteer for parties, field trips, fun days, Fall Fun Fest, etc. in the Windber School District the following 3 clearances will need to be submitted to the Elementary Office as soon as possible:   Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Clearance and FBI Fingerprinting Clearance. In lieu of the FBI Fingerprinting Clearance a signed Unpaid Volunteer Affidavit will be sufficient as long as you have been a resident of Pennsylvania for 10 consecutive years. If you have already submitted these clearances to the elementary school they are valid for 5 years from the date of application. If that time has or will be expiring, updated clearances will be needed in order to continue volunteering in the school. Also, if any relative (grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle, etc.) is planning on volunteering in the school, their clearances will need to be submitted along with a Parent Authorization Form. Every school year a new Parent Authorization Form will need to be submitted. Please contact the elementary office if a Parent Authorization Form is needed.
