Overview
The Windber Area School District is excited to launch ParentSquare for the 2024-2025 school year! ParentSquare is a unified communication platform that offers a wide range of tools enabling district and school administrators, as well as teachers, to communicate and engage more effectively with families and students. It can be accessed via email, text, or app notifications.
Some features include:
- Mass notifications and urgent alerts with two-way communication
- Mobile application for administrators and parents (iOS and Android)
- Attendance notifications
- Teacher and classroom communication
- Direct messaging with two-way translation
- Appointment sign-ups (parent-teacher conferences, technology pick-ups)
- Calendar and RSVP
- Volunteering and classroom supply sign-ups
- And more!
Parent Square Accounts
All parents have a ParentSquare account associated with the preferred email address and/or phone number listed in PowerSchool. All Windber Area School District teachers and staff have a ParentSquare account linked to their school district's Google Workspace accounts.
Account Activation - Parents/Guardians
As we prepare to launch ParentSquare during the summer, parents will receive an activation email. Please activate your account to access all of ParentSquare’s features. If you do not receive an activation email, you can still activate your account by visiting www.parentsquare.com/signin. Enter the email address or phone number you provided to your school. You will receive an email prompting you to create a password, after which you can log in to your account. Individuals who do not activate their ParentSquare account will still receive a daily email digest of any communications sent to them. In case of emergencies, phone calls will also be made.
Account Activation - Teachers/Staff
When you receive an activation email, please activate your account to be able to post, send direct messages, and utilize all of ParentSquare's features. If you do not receive an activation email, you can still activate your account by visiting www.parentsquare.com/signin. Use the "Google Sign In" option to log into your dashboard.
