Windber Area High School is preparing for its homecoming week, “A Night on the Bayou” set to transform the Windber Community into the lively streets of New Orleans. The High School Student Council has arranged a week of school spirit days: “Meme-ing through the Bayou” Monday, “Bourbon Street Sleepwear” Tuesday, “Gators and Gear” Wednesday, “Friends on the Other Side” Thursday, & “Bayou Royalty” Friday. On September 17, a festive Homecoming Parade will commence from the high school at 6:00 p.m. through the streets of Windber, and will end at the Windber Recreation Park for the Homecoming celebration, which is set to begin at 7:00 p.m, which will feature games, music, and is open to the Windber community.

Windber Area School District is asking all families to complete the Annual Student Information Update through ParentSquare. This brief, confidential form helps the District maintain accurate student records and meet Pennsylvania Department of Education reporting requirements. The information collected also helps determine eligibility for state and federally funded educational programs that support our students and schools. Every family's participation is important, and the form takes only a few minutes to complete.
